Overall, Purpose of this Job: Leads and drives the Health Care Compliance (HCC) program to ensure business practices and activities are in compliance with related J&J internal guidelines, local laws and regulations and anti-corruption laws, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Serves as a strategic business partner for management and mentor towards all covered employees, to assure that the company culture of compliance and accountability is a natural element in day-to-day business. • Markets of responsibility: Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Romania. • People Manager role with two direct reports: HCCO Romania and HCC Senior Specialist Greece. • Reporting to the Mid-Sized-Markets' HCC Director. The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have: Partner with company executive leadership to ensure that the HCC program effectively prevents, detects and corrects violations of law, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct by: • Understanding each market's dynamics and risks and mastering the Compliance Program accordingly. • Establishing & chairing the Greece cluster Compliance Committee, the committee responsible for designing and implementing an effective compliance program and key decision making. • Translating global strategies into regional and local levels and, where needed, sector level, based on appropriate local needs, goals and objectives, taking into account local external regulatory trends and environment. • Developing Country strategy & plan to align with the businesses and J&J HCC Global IM and Enterprise Function, coordinating deployment. • Assuring adequate representation in local business governance structures and establishing discussion platforms to get general business consensus and impact analysis. • Acting as a consultant and support the business leaders as a strategic partner in compliance matters. • Stimulating and contributing to innovative ways towards HCPs and GOs consistent with the HCC/HCBI guidelines and framework and performing business plan reviews. • Collaborating with the J&J HCC IM Office, Government Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and external organizations (primarily trade associations -SFEE) to shape & influence the environment and industry codes of conduct. • Providing and coordinating appropriate mentorship, education, training, and regular communications on HCC to all covered employees, including Affiliate/Managing Director, Leadership Team, etc. • Oversight of the Sales Intermediaries' Lifecycle Management in Cyprus, Malta and Greece • Deploying policies and procedures that align and supervise company activities to ensure compliance with government, private, legal and company HCC and privacy standards. • Implementing HCC training programs, including new employee orientation, periodic training on specialized subjects, and annual refresher training. • Conducting self-assessment and quarterly risk assessment processes to detect process gaps & inconsistencies. • Developing a testing & monitoring plan to demonstrate that the HCC program is effective and participate in the execution where appropriate and engage Affiliate/ Board participation in roll-out. • Coordinating preparations for Corporate Internal Audits and Assessments. • Coordinate the establishment of the Management Action Plan and guide the business partners to close gaps and implement corrective actions. • Leading day-to-day allegations and investigations of non-compliance and implementing the escalation process for serious allegations, as appropriate. • Providing metrics at the country level to the IM Compliance Program Office. • Any additional projects as assigned by the relevant EMEA HCC Officers, collaborating with the with the global/regional HCC community. Supervise the HCCO Romania: • Leadership and supervision: Provide guidance, direction, and support to the country officer in carrying out their responsibilities. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the country officer and other teams or departments. • Strategy and goal setting: Collaborate with the country officer to define strategic objectives and goals for the country. Set targets, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with overall organizational objectives. • Performance management: Establish performance goals and expectations. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback and coaching, and address any performance issues or development needs. We'd love to hear from YOU, if you have: Required: • BA/BS, advanced degree or equivalent preferred and a minimum of 7 years of experience in business. Background may include Compliance, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, or Regulatory Prior experience in project management is required. • Good command of English and Greek language. • Experience in Health Care Compliance is desirable. • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards is a plus. • Effective communication to influence business decisions and behaviors. • Ability to manage complex business situations and develop solutions to ensure compliant growth is achieved. • Consistent track record in delivering results, self-starter, and ability to lead complexity is a must. • Deals well with ambiguity and demonstrates strong organizational, process and interpersonal skills. • Understands and masters the J&J Credo-based culture. .
