We are currently looking to fill the following position for our plant in Piraeus: Packaging Engineer Reporting to Engineering Services Sr Manager Position Purpose: The Packaging Engineer is responsible for providing the project management needed to design, develop and implement new and/or improved regional packaging to enable Colgate-Palmolive to meet strategic business goals. He/she may also implement global packaging projects in the plant. He/she will also help implement the regional Packaging Supply Chain strategy and margin improvement projects. The individual will work closely with a variety of other groups, including RTC product development, Divisional Supply Chain management, Division and Hub Marketing as well as outside suppliers, contractors and consultants to achieve desired goals. Effective project planning and running multiple priorities with minimal direction are key. The appointee, after receiving the appropriate training, will be assigned the responsibility for a part of the following activities: Creation & follow-up on packaging material specifications Testing of new packing materials in the production equipment Packaging Quality evaluation and quality corrective actions New Product timing coordination What you need for this position: Chemical, Mechanical or other Engineering degree (or equivalent), ideally at post graduate level 2-4 years of manufacturing experience Excellent command of Greek and English languages PC proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Excellent use of MS Excel) Fulfilled military obligations for male applicants It’s an advantage to have: Experience in the field of packaging will be considered an asset Do you have a dynamic personality, with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, good business understanding, a continuous improvement mentality and the determination to succeed in a challenging and exciting environment ?
